Teen Gothic

So there is this article I saw a while back with an interview from Interpol where they said they were a band who grew disillusioned with the New York goth scene kind of insinuating they were involved in it in their early days. I know Interpol are not goth but their brand of dark post punk is the reason I like goth music today and of the 2000's bands, they are among the closest to goth in sound and style. Carlos Dengler was also kind of a goth but from what I can tell his music tastes leaned more into metal oftentimes.
