I like F1 racing and the Shanghai Grand Prix started at 5:30pm today after I played records at City Record Club. If I was careful I could be home in time for the start.

I actually made it home in time (around 4:40pm) after Record Club and stopping at OTR because my daughter wanted food. But then when unpacking stuff I found her phone was missing. Contacted Uber – nope. Tried OTR where she gave it to me to put in my bag – they had it. Must have fallen out or something.

So it was 5pm and I had to choose – ride down on the scooter and get the phone after the race or do it now. I opted for now to be safe and was home around 5:45pm.

Sometimes you have to make the unselfish choice. Though it relieved the stress of lost phones so I did get something out of it. Not really mad, I could catch up the start. More inconvenienced.

Due to unpopular demand and reports from the fun police, this week's official Seething Sunday thread post is officially a serious zone. Because even though the world is falling apart we are not allowed any relief due to it being "off topic" in a thread made for catharsis and levity.

Though I do find reporting the weekly steam valve complainey thread made by a moderator (instead of being automated by choice to keep it from being boring) so other admin/moderators may remove it very laughable. Perhaps they thought I would see the error of my ways and remove it myself.

Like, what did they think would happen? All they are doing is giving us material to laugh at. So sure, what the hell – give us more.

And for the rest of you, keep it grindy and grim else the fun police come for you too. Or not – feel free to thumb your nose at them if you want.

I have had tech issues most of the week. PC monitor died, bought a replacement only to find I didn't have the correct cable, bought the correct cable. Took 3 days to sort out. Also my phone charger died and got replaced. I broke a nice coffee cup too.

So… how are you doing?

Rev up those creepy coupes, batmobiles, spooky sedans, gorevettes, sinister sportscars and dragulas. It's another week to pump that high octane seethe fuel and burn on some rage!

I'm back, baby!

Why was I gone? My laptop died and I had to use my DJ laptop to web browse until my new desktop PC arrived. I was able to access everything except my reddit account on the DJ laptop as reddit refused to acknowledge my backup codes on that or the mobile app. Set up the new PC, entered a backup code, worked first time. No idea why.

If you saw someone commenting as funmembership-somethingsomething that was me. Auto-generated usernames are weird.

Anyway… I'm sure you all have things to get off your chest or complain about so have at it!

I'm truly and absolutely fuming today.

I had an interview yesterday for a night porter job – it went well, I interviewed with him before a year ago – and he said that we should schedule a trial shift for tonight.

After trying to get my sleeping pattern in order, buying food for tonight, as well as my £4.94 train ticket, he cancels on me stating that he's worried about me getting to work in the winter. Having already brought this up yesterday, and rebuffing his statements, I respectfully said to him, that it's not his decision to make and asked for reimbursement on my train ticket, as it's the least he could do for wasting my time.

I have had no answer yet. But we must stop being soft with these employers.

I'm changing my CV to a general location, since they like to discriminate geographically.

I just got home from City Record Club and the Save The Cranker Rally. I didn't play a single goth song today though you could argue a couple are close. Love and Rockets So Alive single? Nope, I played the B side – Bike! And that sounds like some sort of weird blues/jazz/rock thing. Plus rock, techno, post punk, new wave, disco and a Yamaha 70s organ rendition of Popcorn. -10 goth points me.

The rally was a death march to Parliament House and onto the Crown and Anchor Hotel itself. And I stopped at a record store on the way. But what did I buy? $ 2 bargain bin K-Tel compilations for a Record Club set I'm calling "The worst sounding vinyl set ever" using nothing but K-Tel compilations.

6 hours on my feet mostly on concrete. My feet want to disown me, my back aches, I was getting stabbing pains in my leg and I have a pain in the diodes down my left side.

But we got word the planned demolition has been voided by the state premier so the pub is saved! The best alternative/live music venue in the city is here to stay.
