what’s your favorite halloween-sounding goth song?

first ill explain what im talking abt if the title wasnt that clear lol. I’m talking about any songs that sound like those classic songs for halloween parties, trick or treat, etc. (the fun kinda music you would hear with theremins and organs as instruments)

my personal pick for this is Riboflavin by 45 Grave, it has a very nostalgic spooky sound to it and instantly makes me think about halloween!

I recently moved to the American south, and I’m surprised to see the number of people who are visibly goth or punk sporting confederate flags and/or Republican party merch. How did this happen? What do you think about this intersection of culture/beliefs?

This is wildly different than my experience in New England and I was shocked to see it tbh.

Predator warning: CA / Spanish / German goth scene

Warning to bands / DIY labels – ex member of a band called Dealer lying he’s associated with and part of bands / labels as an excuse to assault and harass women. Some decent sized labels and bands have come back to confirm he’s been lying so worth keeping an eye out for. Oakland based – believe he plays synth / guitars / “produces.” First name Aaron, and initials are A.C. Got ran out of the Seattle scene for something similar apparently. Also lied about associations with labels such as Static Shock in EU and was supposedly working with the goth singer Racquel.

I think I’m suffering from imposter syndrome…

I’ve always been in love with the goth subculture from my early teens, I just never did a deep dive into it, I’ve listened to some of the music back then but had never fully explored it to its fullest potential. Now I’m in my late teens and I’ve done a full deep dive into the music, listening to sad lovers and giants, suspiria, Rosetta Stone, low life, xmal deutschland, clan of xymox, o. Children, the chameleons, little Nemo, and so so so much more not including the bands I already listened too. I know I’m listening to the right music, as well as some goth adjacent music mixed in with the run of the mill goth music. I already know how to dress goth. I know a good amount about the subculture, but I can’t help but feel like I’m a poser, I keep checking my playlist to make sure I’m listening to the correct music even though I know I am. I feel confident within this subculture but am having a hard time fully becoming flourished in it due to me feeling as if I’m a poser. How do I overcome this? I don’t feel goth enough!!
