Teen Gothic

My wife got me amazing birthday presents 🥰

I recently started to listen to gothic rock and darkwave stuff, and I randomly stumbled onto this German band Wisborg and they really scratch that goth rock itch for me.

Lwk I’ve been listening to their album from the cradle to the coffin nonstop for a few days, the song blood is life is just stuck in my head. I’d recommend checking it out, for me it’s a masterpiece, idk why I’m so obsessed with it but its really good and generally their albums are very epic.

And I feel like I listened to most of the songs from them and I wanna explore gothic rock more and does anybody have any ideas for bands to check out similar to Wisborg?

Ploho is usually classified as post-punk and cold wave and I’m pretty new to exploring gothic rock so I might be wrong but this album sounded really close to it to me

For me, it’s definitely the Second Wave. I just love bands that mix the goth sound with rock, especially hard rock. I wish we had more modern bands following this path.
