Teen Gothic

Well look at that, I am more or less on time this week. Which leads me to a little story – a tale of anger, frustration, comeuppance, revenge and of course punctuality. But I am not telling that story here. This is Seething Sunday and not story time at the local library.

Does my lack of story after leading into it annoy you? Well you are in the right place to complain about it. Unleash the wrath.

You know what munches my spiders? The flair colours here. Seething Sunday is red as it should be. But so is Music and Band Meeting!

Goth music isn't angry – what do we look like, a bunch of punks, rivetheads and metalheads stomping around all scowly?

I kind of get the Band Meeting flair being red as those things can get pretty heated with creative differences and all that. But if it is meant to be people meeting the bands that is a joyous occasion. Provided the band members don't treat the meeter like a dick.

Then there is Bandcamp Fridays which is red-ish. I guess it counts as a red light sale.

Now is the winter of our discount tent. 50% off all goth trinkets. By Grabthar's Hammer… what a savings. Offer only valid in the southern hemisphere. Does that annoy you northies?

It is winter here and a plague is ravaging our house. I went for a nap thinking I'll be up in a couple of hours to post this week's Unofficial Seething Sunday post. Suddenly it is 6 hours later…

Double, double toil and trouble;

Fire burn and caldron bubble.

Fillet of an angsty snake,

In the caldron boil and bake;

Ire of goth and claws of cat,

Type your woes and release your bat,

Devil's fork and personal spite,

From chilling winds and howling night,

For a thread to vent your trouble,

Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

So many people celebrating the alleged time a bloke woke up after a 3 day hangover that started by drinking vinegar whilst being nailed to a tree because he said people could try being nice to each other.

That's right everyone, it is that time of the week again. It is like we are in some infinite loop of loathing and complaint departments decked out with gargoyles and carvings of spiders, snakes and bats with Andrew Eldritch sitting on a 50 foot high throne made of the blackened bones of poseurs overseeing it all. Glorious!

Look at them. Sitting in the corner drinking their "drinks" and smoking their "cigarettes". They think they are having fun but we know they aren't. How could they have fun dressed like that? I hate them. They don't even have the decency to coldly glare back at me. Poseurs…

It is that time of the week again everyone. Spit that bile.

I don't know about any of you but it feels like yesterday since I posted last week's Seething Sunday. In any case a gripe is a gripe, a goth is a goth and many of us sure like to complain. Go nuts.
