Where does the term “Deathrock” come from?
Maybe it's a stupid question but I had a sudden realization this morning…was it a term first used to describe Christian Death that just stuck around? I know they were some of the first to make this music and are considered the godfathers of DR. Maybe it's obvious and I'm just dense.

What does wave mean? Like darkwave coldwave, synthwave etc?
Is it just used to describe any post punk alternative genre? Bc ik dark wave is goth but synth wave isn't.
