I like music that is emotional and also technical

For me, most of the goth bands / artists I listen to come from, in order from most to least:

1. UK
2. Germany
3. Japan
4. United States
5. Spain

OK I won't lie, I had no idea this was a music based culture till 2 months ago, but now that I'm listening to the music, now I'm noticing when I dress up (even in highschool) people would call me goth, what if I dressed like this and never listened to the music like I did in high-school, would that be an insult to the goth culture, do u think there should be an education system of goth culture vs stereotyping cuse u wear all black and spiked collars?
