Goths are so different from the stereotypes.

Idk if this is the right place to point this out but I find it incredibly ironic that people have so many stereotypes about goths that are wrong. The subculture as a whole is just unbelievably misunderstood. As someone who is only very recently coming into this subculture, I've noticed this so much. And the overwhelming sense of community and openness is not something that is often portrayed about goths in pop culture, but it really seems like a defining feature. Everyone I have interacted with has been so kind and warm. <3

Does anyone else notice this or see how it impacts people around them's perceptions irl?
