Teen Gothic

Hello I have been looking for this song for a long time and I can not find it, please if you know who it is, thank you for your attention ☺️☺️

So I am 100000% sure I’ve once listened to a Bauhaus song on Spotify that had lyrics like “anorexic alien” or “anorexic monster” or something like that and no matter how much and how long I’ve looked for that song I cannot find it anywhere.

I’m seriously unsure if that song even exists or if I imagined that, but people told me they remember that song too, but don’t remember the title.

I am going crazy here because am I stupid? Do I remember a song that was never made? Or was that song just taken off Spotify because there are some people that know what I’m talking about? But if it was just taken off Spotify, then why can’t I find it anywhere else?

I've looked on Genius, on Bandcamp, even on the thumbnail of In Darkness you Will Feel Alright where the lyrics to all the songs in the album are, but somehow this one specific song is the only one that doesn't feature there. Could anyone help??

I find the gothic music genre is rather overwhelming in terms of its variety. How did you find your specific tastes?

Just looking to meet and socialize

I used to go to a goth club in 2000-2001 and there was a goth/industrial cover of Prince's 1999 and I have spent years and years trying to find it. I would be eternally grateful if someone could find it as I have looked for at least 10 years now.

Especially with songs like Gutter Glitter/Wicked/Waiting Room. Their music has this eerie dream-like quality to it the more I listen to them. There also seems to be themes of hell/purgatory and dreams which are my absolute favorite.

I remember I had a really intense nightmare so, I put on my favorite songs playlist to calm me down and one of their songs, I think it was Gutter Glitter?, and it genuinely freaked me out more, which has never happened before. They’re one of my all time favorite bands and I love this about them.

I know a lot of goth music is spooooky but they just feel different to me. The only other songs I can think of are a couple of Diva Destruction songs.

Does anyone else feel this way? Also are there any other bands/songs like this?
