Teen Gothic

I'm from LA and really like finding lesser known local punk bands; I've also been getting into goth music recently – or at least goth adjacent. So what are some LA goth bands (or goth adjacent) I should check out? Don't have to be lesser known or underground or whatever.

Post your links to new releases from 2000 or later, let's give some focus to new music. In the list below, you'll find some new releases from the past few weeks!

Here's some great new post-punk/goth releases:

Hidden Hand – "Hole In The Heart" [Post-Punk / Goth] (Belfast, UK)

Velvet Mist – "Visitation" [Goth Rock] (Belgium)

Tsaffire – "Devora" [Post-Punk / Goth] (CA, U.S.A.)

She Came to Quit – "Pils Sesison # 10" [Post-Punk / Deathrock] (Canada)

For anyone in America that has YouTube music/YouTube premium, if you have a VPN and you change your location to the UK you can listen to the album.

I was messing around with my VPN and YouTube music and I just discovered it.

Hope this helps for anyone who doesn't have the album in physical copy or just want to listen to it while wearing headphones or earbuds.

Feel free to use this method until the album is available in the states again.

Goth just isn't fair. All this music to listen to and for most the same bands are listened to over and over while new and lesser known bands are left starving in the background.

Oh no! The music provider I'm renting music from took away one album from that big band that has plenty of other albums. I could listen to something new but why broaden my horizons? If I talk about that new band people will think I'm a raving looney as they have no idea who they are. I can't make fashion and make up tiktok memes with this shit!

It's all about me. ME! Look at meeeeeeeee!!! Behold how goth I think I am!

What happened this week that made you happy?

Maybe you found a great new album or just an album you hadn't heard about before? Maybe you found a new cuddly kitten that now is a part of your family?
