Teen Gothic

Helloo I am going to be flying by plane soon and I want to take my platform shoes with me I was thinking of wearing them to the plane but idk if it will cause problems with the security. I could put them in my suitcase but i would like to avoid that due to the weight and fear of them getting damaged so I am not sure what to do. If there are any goths in the subreddit who frequently travel by plane that could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Late tonight when I was out walking to get some food I met a fellow post punk/goth dude in his 20’s and he and I had the best 15 minute conversation about goth/post punk music, horror movies, the subculture in general, how there’s very few us in this age group and how it feels like we’re somehow caught in the wrong generation or maybe the city we live in and all that bullcrap. After we bid each other farewell it left me wondering if there’s any zoomer goths out there around the world and in this subreddit or are we rare rabbits. So…. just a shout out to the goths out there who are on the younger side of the spectrum. Are you guys out there? Wave

How do you guys feel about people who identify as goth, but only through the aesthetic part of it? I feel like whenever the word “goth” pops up in people’s heads, the aesthetic is the first thing that comes to mind. I’m relatively new to this scene, so I don’t know shit about shit lol.

Any recommendations?
