For me it's Metallica being called goth for simply changing their appearance to black eyeliner, black hair and black fingernails

Hi! I was wondering what are the most played goth songs at clubs/goth nights? I actually haven't had the chance to go to a goth club/night because the scene is literally non-existent here, and I was wondering if there are some recurrent songs.

I guess they'd choose the most danceable/funky ones, like.. this corrosion, snake dance, let's go to bed, whatever song from soft cell or depeche mode… but I can't imagine what else. Do they also play stuff from adjacent genres, as long as the vibes are similar? What song have you heard the most? Are there any songs you wish they'd play (more, if at all)?

So im new to gothic music i'm baby bat or whatever you call it lol but i already can see the diffrent in gothic rock songs some more upbeat some more dark in their sound.

Honestly i never thought this is how gothic music is gonna sound i thought it will be more dark in the lyrics and more heavy but i like it anyway and i like to discover.

I was browsing new bands to listen to I really like there music. I’ve watched a few of there live shows. There really good, if you haven’t listens to them, I highly recommend them.

Was scrolling through YouTube and came across this band from the French goth scene in the eighties. They were called "Neva", with their songs falling into the death rock and electronic sound.
