What was the defining moment in your life that turned you into a goth?

In 1989, I was a 14yr old kid and really fancied this girl in another school, who was into The Cure. After weeks of barely speaking to her, I went and bought Disintegration, in the hope of having something in common. I listened to it over and over. Soon after, without plucking up the courage to speak to her, her family moved to a different city and I never saw her again. But the music stuck with me. Within the next 3 years, I had all albums by The Cure and had seen them live twice. Quite a superficial way to get into the music but I found my home.

a friend remixed our last single into something post-punk/goth/darkwavy. I thought you would like this! :)

Nekromantik!

I've been listening to the Gothic Sounds of Nightbreed a lot lately, and I think the two Nekromantik tracks are my favorites, but I can't seem to find much about them online. Is anyone in this sub familiar with them? I'd love to know more! Children Go Bang is the one I've been jamming to quite often 🙂
