Teen Gothic

Right now, my music has been extremely limited to the same bands/albums for far too long. I think its because i cant find anything that truly tickles my fancy. If people could drop some PREFERABLY FEMALE FRONTED deathrock/goth rock/goth adjacent bands based off the following list i would greatly appreciate it.

I think what i like the most is the haunting voices and emotional atmosphere, Im just really particular about it im not sure how to put it. Thank you!

I've always used music as inspiration for my creative work and I've been working on a worldbuilding project for the first time with goth music as core part of the inspiration! I'm also going with a heavy colour theme and i've been wanting to find something, preferably an album with heavy red theming to draw from! I vaguely remember stumbling upon something like it, but i cannot remember which band it was or what the album's name was. Curious to see if you have anything that fits this kind of description! I'm always looking for new music so drop something even if it's not 100% on point!

Hi guys, i was wondering if theres anyone else that makes patches with bleach? I havent really seen anyone else do it and im starting to think i might make the patches look tacky!!!

Yesterday in my philosophy class the theme of metal and goths and emos came up. We got deeper into the topic and there’s an activist in my class who asked questions relating to the work and i explained that most of my research and people ive talked to have said that being goth means more in personality and if you like the music. Then you are goth (correct me if im wrong im more recent).

He started to bring up how the scene is racist and perdominantly white. I said yes that’s true but there’s no place for racism in punk, metal, emo, goth spaces. If there are goth people who are racist, they aren’t goth they’re just appropriating and wouldn’t be accepted by anyone but those alike, it completely defeats the purpose of those genres.

I live in a city where our goth count is very, very low lol. Our metal scene is pretty loyal but i have a hard time finding goths here. And as far as i know you don’t have to look any kind of way to be a goth, but sure there is a theme among the most of us which is anything black.

I have always been “darker” in character and goth doesn’t run in my family at all. I’m an African American male from a high crime rate city. I am the first to be, compared to anyone i’ve grown up with. It’s hard to be alone but hopefully i’ll be able to travel and visit places where i can feel welcomed.

I say all this to say thank you to those of you in this sub who are so open about everything. And fuck whoever taints the image of these communities 😉 Thank you if you’ve read, just wanted to vent i guess.

I'm curious about your reasons for choosing to identify with goth music and subculture, instead of some other music genre or subculture? Why did you choose this genre / subculture in particular?

I've listened to some goth music and I liked some of it, but I don't identify as goth, because this is just one of many genres that I've explored so far.

I saw that on top of this subreddit there was a part dedicated to goth worldwide, but there was nothing for Italy, so I would like to suggest some bands to add there (mods could look at those bands and then decide if they should be added).
