Advice for The WGT

Hey darklings, I’m beginning to make plans to attend Wave-Gotik-Treffen in 2023. I don’t plan to make any concrete decisions until the set list is released ;). I’ve dreamt of going since I was a teen and I’m finally in a position to make it happen. I’ve never traveled outside of the U.S. and I plan to go alone. I’m a bit nervous, but I have confidence in myself. I’m here asking for any advice or guidance. What do you wish you knew your first year that you know now? I’d also love to meet some folks who also plan to attend from the U.S. Thanks much my friends! <3

edit: typo.

The Figurehead- The Cure (Peel 1981)

This is one of my all time favorite Cure songs. I of course love the rawness of this live version from the John Peel broadcast. I believe it's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, and it further aided in my appreciation for this band. <3

are there bands that lie outside the goth genre but have goth members?

I’m asking because I find it very interesting that we tend to see punks in metal bands and Vice versa, but I can’t think of many bands that are outside the genre with goth members. Is it uncommon or am I not digging deep enough?

(Also sorry if this doesn’t make a ton of sense I’m tired)
