Teen Gothic

I want to discover some new bands, if anyone has suggestions throw them my way :). Some of the bands I currently listen to would range from Picturesque to OM&M

This is a question that has plagued me for a while. I know that The Cure has said that they’re technically not goth, but I still find them on playlists all the time and I’ve talked to many goths that consider some of their earlier music to be goth. I feel like the Smiths has a very similar vibe to the Cure, a lot of their music is in the same genre of music so that makes sense lmao. Is there a history to the scene that differentiates the two? Anyways, thanks to anyone who can answer lol

Just wanted to share this absolutely gorgeous promo poster for Clan of Xymox’s 2003 album Farewell I managed to find. This is one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite bands so I’m so happy to have it safe and framed. My Xymox collection is getting pretty nice so I might share the whole thing in February when I get the 11 LP set they’re releasing around then.
