Anarcho punk/deathrock band Rudimentary Peni has lots of distortion filled like dark emotional lyrics. I’m looking for bands that have a similar sound or lyrical content to that of Peni’s later work like “echoes of anguish” and “no more pain”

Does anyone know if there are goth events (specifically in the Seattle area) that are like… not at bars? I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t strictly a sober event but it occurred to me as I was looking around at venues that did goth nights that pretty much all of them were bars, do any alternatives exist? I really want to go dance and be in the company of other people in the subculture because I don’t have any goth friends but I’m not 21 for another year. Do I just have to wait? Or am I just not looking in the right places?

I'm looking for future (underrated) places to live/visit that have vibrant goth/nerd/gamer type communities with clubs and events.

I've lived Oly, Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Palm Springs. and Santa Cruz/Monterey. And all are now too expensive to move back to.

I'm curious if there are any mid/sw US oasises?
