Bad goth parenting?

Looking for some sort of confirmation that I am indeed not a shitty parent for doing something (that I (53f)and my husband ( 54m) think is pretty awesome). This weekend I am djing along with two other djs at a local (hopefully monthly) all ages event. We have a 12 year old son who has proudly proclaimed since the age of 9 that he is goth just like his parents. Dyes his hair, paints his nails, wears all black and dons eyeliner from time to time. My question for all of you is this. Am I a bad parent for letting my son willingly go to this all ages event with us at this age (he knows a lot of the bands and is completely comfortable in the subculture) knowing full well that he is potentially the future of the scene in our area? Or am I just feeling strange about it because I was told I couldn’t be myself even in High School and had to wait till I was out of my parental abode to finally come out of the coffin as it were?

Edit to add: he’s been to a handful of concerts with us (most recently the last set of Skinny Puppy shows where we were front row the whole time and he shared a moment with Nivek Ogre) and he is a performer in his own right attending our local School of Rock as a singer).
