Teen Gothic

Love love love! That’s all I can say. ☺️

Was scrolling through YouTube and came across this band from the French goth scene in the eighties. They were called "Neva", with their songs falling into the death rock and electronic sound. Does anyone know anything about this bands members/history? Or their relation the the eighties scene? Below is the clip I found: https://youtu.be/Ug-4jRqt8jA

Whatever local means to you: your hometown, your state, or your country. It's fine to provide a link to your own material. Just keep it goth. Thanks in advance. 🖤

I was browsing spotify these days and found out about this band named vampire beach babes. I really like their tunes, but they only have one album with 7 songs on spotify and youtube. I searched for more info on them, found their website, wikipedia page and some random blog posts recomending their music and i really wanted to listen to their other albums or just know if they're like, nice people yaknow (saw an old reddit post saying that the lead singer is kinda weird but nothing too absurd). Also if anyone have any bands that have similar sound to recommend would be great. Btw I'm a baby bat if u couldn't tell lol.

Was just thinking about this in the moment. There are these songs I find amazing, but the bands never did anything else remotely like them. It's hard to do that repeatedly. It's not necessarily because the lack the talent, just never did anything similar. Leaves such a yearning for what will never be.

The one's I'm thinking about right now are The Last Song by Trisomie 21(I like this version best, nothing to do with the dancing people), Not What I Expected by Crispy Ambulance, Shaving My Neck by Gene Love Jezebel, and Man of Straw by Sad Lovers and Giants.

im just curious because their music has always gave me a ‘gothy’ feel but i’ve never gotten a actual answer on what genre they are

Me, personally, I love them! They are honestly the first goth band I’ve listened to and have really gotten me involved with the subculture. Also, the lead singer, dusty, also known as Goth Dad, is really awesome, as well as the other band members. Going to get to see them live in August!

Hello! I recently developed an interest in goth genres and bands. I'm a metalhead but like a lot of newbies here, a certain blood type band bring me here, even though I know that it's not goth. Some of the bands I've enjoyed so far include London After Midnight, Plastique Noir, Clan of Xymox, The Cure, and the Sisters of Mercy (Do Joy Division count? Also, I love The Smiths, is not goth but maybe helps with recommendations?). What made me fall in love was the album First & Last & Always, every song is a banger for me. Not a big fan of Floodland, though sorry. I'd love to get recommendations since I don't know anyone who appreciate this music where I live. I've been using Spotify to discover new bands, and I'm open to suggestions in Spanish too. Thanks

It sadly fell apart so I have to remake it on a new cardigan I just thrifted 🙁 I’m going to add more bands tho ! I have velvet fabric and lace I wanted to use to make patches !
