Teen Gothic

Hi all!

I am writing my Master’s thesis for the University of Amsterdam, and my topic is about the relationship between gender and subculture. In order for me to gather data to analyse this, I’m conducting a survey targeted at members of some subcultures, and I thought it would be a good idea to look at some Reddit communities.

Here you can find the link to my survey. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, and I need at least 100 responses by June so that I can receive my Master’s diploma. It would be such an amazing help if you could give me your insight into your experience within this community and of course, any feedback on the survey itself is more than welcome. Finally, if you could take the time and send it to some other goths that you know, that would be amazing. The more responses I get, the better I can represent the community!

So one of my favourite non Goth music artists is Florence + the Machine and I'm just wondering what/if there's any Goth artists that are similar to her?

Like I feel Siouxsie sort of is? But I'm not sure of anyone else off the top of my head and I'm interested to know if there's any others out there that would work.

I know She Past Away sing in Turkish and XIII Stoleti sing in Czech, what other bands do you know?

Show us what you've DIY (Do It Yourself) lately! Be it clothes, painting, maybe a Andrew Eldritch lookalike?

Hey, y'all! My fiancé and I are getting married in October this year, and we are doing an all black, goth themed wedding. It will be outside in a wooded area, with some Pagan themes during the wedding ceremony. I'm already in over my head with planning, but am at a complete loss of where to even start for appropriate music! We're not sure what to do as far as music during the processional or vows, any suggestions? Please help! Thank y'all in advance 🖤
