Nox Novacula encore at Vultures in Colorado Springs, CO. 5/9/2023.
Hot off the press! I shot and edited this short phone video just for everyone here. Nox Novacula finished playing their set a few minutes ago at a small bar/venue in Colorado Springs. Originally the band finished their set with the song "Vultures" which fit the venue name perfectly. They then walked off stage and came back to play this encore song after the crowd chanted for one more. Nox Novacula shared the stage with WitchHands (I shot some video of their set on a real camera for their upcoming music video). To absolutely nobody's surprise both bands were amazing. Nox performed just as well last night in Denver with some other amazing bands. Definitely go see/hear these beautiful musicians if given the chance.

Deathrock playlist 🦇
Hi everyone! So I've been trying to compile a Spotify playlist with as much Deathrock as I can 🦇
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2m9fhXtvDQpuDPMt2qtBoe?si=aa9b2fbc12354015
I'd love to hear any suggestions on what I should add any artists I should add or remove if they're not really deathrock đ

Do goths have to hate “basic” kids?
Had someone insist online that I wasn't a real goth because my friends tend to be more "basic", but I dont see a problem with it! I'm nice to them, their nice to me. I don't see the need for any complications.
Also- another dilemma, im against the insult "basic". I find it incredibly misogynistic and rude. Go ahead and scream at me in the comments, I wont care enough to acknowledge it. The point is, this person yelled at me and called me a "poser" for this.
If the answer to either of these questions is "yes", ill leave the goth community, no questions asked. Not out of anger– it just doesn't fit me.

really confused? goth/nazi aesthetic
hi guys so I have a friend who has goth friends and he told me that they really like the ânazi aestheticâ relating to the death, style, and symbolism of nazis? He is a person of color and says they arenât racist they just âlike the aesthetics and symbolismâ, but couldnât explain to me how nazism and goth culture were connected? Is this a thing? Can someone explain? They are also metal heads.

Bands that have good live performances in 2023?
I'm lucky enough to live in a big city with several goth shows every month and something I've noticed is that many bands are just not very good live.
Either the band members are too old and you can tell they are tired (i.e. Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus) or they are more recent but the performance is very lackluster. Some bands go on stage and play synths while standing still and it's kind of meh (for example: Lebanon Hanover. I thought the singer was super awkward).
What are some bands that have good live performances? In my experience, The Soft Moon and Patriarchy were amazing and Clan of Xymox and Corpus Delicti were still really good. And One (which is EBM, I know) was also very fun.
Edit: I've heard Boy Harsher and Sextile are also good but I haven't seen them.
