Teen Gothic

With the recent discussion about VF got me thinking is there an equivilent these days thats active? or could the community get together to create one without the issues of the first one?

is it too outdated to work these days?

i'm curious how many others on here struggle with anxiety / depression. i'm trying to overcome both (with a dash of OCD sprinkled on top too).

everyone always asks 'you ok?', but i never wanna share how I actually feel. how about you? are you all ok?

i got into goth this year its the primary genre i listen to but i havent quite found anyone with their same sound and energy. i tend to gravitate twords heavyer goth stuff and female vocalists of thats helpful !

hi all, sorry if my formatting is terrible as I'm on mobile here. I wanted to know how often you attend goth club nights etc? There have been quite a few in my city but I've not been able to go any so far as pretty much unanimously no one will go with me and I don't feel like it's safe to go by myself. How do you make friends who are happy to go to these kinds of events with you? I'm finding missing out on such a key part of my subculture is really depressing me so I'd like advice on how to build relationships that would help with that kind of thing, as well as juat asking whether going much (or at all) is sustainable for the people here. I am so fucking tired of getting barked at by guys in nike tech suits and gucci caps, and getting laughed at by blonde girls with ungodly amount of fake tan. Everyone here dresses the same, I’ve only seen a few goths in my entire life. I get bullied in school, I barely have any friends. It totally sucks, everyone here is an asshole to someone who doesn’t fit in. You might think “Well, don’t dress goth then!” but I think it’s better to not be one of them. Why fit in if it results in hiding yourself? It’s far more painful pretending to be someone you’re not.

Any nordics experience this too?
