We did a cover of Romeo’s Distress… Will you guys let me know how we did/if it sounds good?

Hey, everyone! So me and my two good pal’s band called Hex Formes just released our cover of the classic Christian Death song “Romeo’s Distress”.

We would absolutely be thrilled if some of you guys could check it out and perhaps let us know if you liked it or if you thought it sounded good!

Thanks so much in advance! The cover can be found in the link below.

I got some great photos at Sisters of Mercy in Boston last night, but I couldn’t get a good shot of Andrew because moved around so much and flashbanged my camera with his powerful baldness 😏💥💥

It was a great show! They sounded really good, posed a lot for photos, I got a good spot in the crowd, and heard some of my favorite songs of all time live! If you've been hesitant to see them where you are, I'd say go for it!!

Bands that have good live performances in 2023?

I'm lucky enough to live in a big city with several goth shows every month and something I've noticed is that many bands are just not very good live.

Either the band members are too old and you can tell they are tired (i.e. Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus) or they are more recent but the performance is very lackluster. Some bands go on stage and play synths while standing still and it's kind of meh (for example: Lebanon Hanover. I thought the singer was super awkward).

What are some bands that have good live performances? In my experience, The Soft Moon and Patriarchy were amazing and Clan of Xymox and Corpus Delicti were still really good. And One (which is EBM, I know) was also very fun.

Edit: I've heard Boy Harsher and Sextile are also good but I haven't seen them.

There’s no such thing as goth types except music based maybe (Deathrocker, Batcaver, etc.). It’s only good maybe for people to find clothes in online thrift stores. I can’t really think of many or even one icon that fits into these boxes.

Good places to visit in Michigan for an alternative/goth person?

I’ll be going to Michigan (around Ann Arbor) next weekend to visit a friend and celebrate my birthday. I’m looking for anything weird, creepy or spooky to do while I’m there. I really love oddity shops, horror novels, macabre art, clothing stores, dispensaries, occult stores etc.
