Obscura Undead’s UnObscured comp is a yearly compilation of new and upcoming goth and Goth adjacent bands!

Right now, submissions are open to send in your band’s song for consideration to enter into the compilation! If selected you will be sent a short contract to agree to for publishing terms which comes with individual promotion and spotlights from OU! On that same note, In order to address the costs of our Bandcamp upkeep the compilation will cost a small nominal fee to download this year. For this we are putting in the extra work for the bands.

The deadline for submissions is December 24th, 2023! Please email all submissions in WAV file with a link to your Bandcamp info to [email protected]

Just to let you know where I am coming from, I am a goth who has lived in an area that doesn't have much of a local scene, so i mostly participate online.

However, a place nearby is having a goth night soon and I intend to go to enjoy the music and hopefully, make some new friends.

What I am wondering from those of you who regularly go to goth events, are you open to being approached and potentially forming new friendships? or would you rather just be left alone? I don't want to bother people and make them uncomfortable and I figure most people don't want some stranger trying to talk to them when they are just there to dance and enjoy the music, but I am hoping that some people might be interested in talking and forming new friendships

Hi, I've been interested in the subculture and music for around 7 months. I'm currently 13, making me a Baby-Bat.

First off, I would like to say, thank you so much, for everything you've done to help shape the subculture into what it is today. Seriously, thank you. Thank you for sticking with it for 10, 20, 30 years or longer. I can't thank you enough.

This subculture is as important to me as anything else. I just want to say thank you for shaping it and always being there for us Baby-Bats who need advice. 🙂
