Bands very similar to Sisters of Mercy?
I absolutely adore Sisters Of Mercy and I was wondering what other bands give that kind of feeling. As gloomy and orchestral/dramatic would be great, since I love the romantic/victorian/vampire style. I've tried other bands through the years but never quite found what I was looking for. The closest I got to the feeling this band gives me was Cocteau Twins. If you could help me that'll be great.
Oh and one more thing!! I'd rather look for the more underground scene since the mainstream or well known goth bands didn't quite hit the spot. Sorry I'm picky, I'm more on the metal side :/

Sisters of Mercy Cover “Nine While Nine” – The Beauty of Gemina / What are your favorite covers?
Stumbled upon this little number this morning (no pun intended hehe). Nine While Nine
Believe it or not a kind of stripped down version of the song. It’s grown on me —very calming actually.
What are your favorite covers of goth songs or of non goth songs covered by goth bands?
All my favorite goth covers happen to be sisters of mercy songs 😂 including “Alice”- The Prophetess and a metal cover of “No Time to Cry”.
I Also enjoy their covers like “Emma” and “knocking on heavens door” I like their version way better than GNR but then again I don’t like GNR 😂
Curious about your cover favorites?🖤

Are Sisters of Mercy really an awfull experience live?
Hello!
From what I've been told by my parents, who saw them live a few decades ago, or by my friends who saw them in the 2010s, the band is really awfull experience live on festivals. I've been told this by several unrelated parties, and I don't think anyone ever told me that they enjoyed them live.
Is that true? How have your experience with SotM live been? I has been unversally recommended to me that it's better to not see them live and keep my naivety, but they will play in a city across the country this year. But it's far and expensive, on an unrelated genre festival, so I'm not really sure whether it's worth it.
So, would you go?
