Do you pay attention to the lyrics of the songs?

a couple months ago i was at the punk/goth bar i used to go often and i was having a convo with some people, and most of them didnt really care or paid attention to the lyrics of songs.
I kept asking online and around for that and lotta people were indifferent to it.
Am I weird for paying close attention to them? lyrics can make or break a song for me, can be a nice toon but shitty lyrics will ruin it, same with not so good songs musically but great and relatable lyrics will make me listen to them again.
I always liked poetry and literature so that might influence this situation a bit but not sure, i think lyricis is a very important part of a song but for some people vocals are just another random instrument.
I know this is a non issue but i tend to overthink stuff like this lmao
Am I the minority in this? I mean in paying a lot of attention to the lyrics?

I listen to all kinds of music, nothing beats gothic rock for me

Idk why, but there's something about it that touches my soul very deeply. Specially 90's- early 2000's gothic rock makes me very emotional. Everytime I listen to bands of that time like London After Midnight, Nosferatu, Two Witches I feel something that no other music genre has made me feel. It's quite hard to describe. I feel very nostalgic and happy at the same time. It makes me feel alive in a depressing way, like an euphoric nostalgia. I love it so much.

I come to ask music recommendation of a certain vibe i guess?

(I hope this doesn't go against the rules, if it does please let me know and I'll delete it right away. Or if anyone knows the right place to ask this also let me know.)

Ive been getting into goth music recently, but im not here to just vaguely ask 'beginner recs' I want to ask if any of you can reccomend me either artists or songs that, kinda are like First last and Always (especially black planet) by the Sisters, or Psychocult by The Merry thoughts. (Think low violet or the song by the same name as the album) I found those on a comment section in this subreddit and ive tried looking on my own but im not good at searching lol. Thank you everyone so very much for your valuable time!
