Teen Gothic

So I’ve never really dressed goth except like in highschool but I’ve always enjoyed the music and aesthetic. Anyway I’ve always wanted to go to a goth club just for the experience and music. Would I be welcomed in, or even allowed in since I’m not dressed that way? I know it’s probably a dumbass question but I was just curious.

Does it bother you that goths get fetishised so much? It genuinely bothers me like I want to dress the way I do for myself, not for anyone else and I definitely do not want to be cat called when I go out because I’m a goth and fetishised

Since moving to Denver a few years ago I've been wanting to get into the scene and meet like-minded individuals. Well, covid happened around that time and I just couldn't get out to do that, so I have no idea where the scenes are. I was hoping some people would know all the cool hangout spots and scenes for me to explore and meet new people. I'm not a drinker, so bars and clubs aren't super my thing. I know that's a huge facet of goth culture, but I was hoping other places like flea markets and the like would be a good option too. I'd really like to get back in touch with my fellow alternatives, but I just don't know where to start, paired with having a touch of the social anxiety and the lacking of self confidence, so I don't like going out and doing things by myself usually. I'm trying to get over that, so any places of interest would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I currently live in Michigan (love it here,) but my partner and I are planning on moving out of state. We are deciding between Nashville, TN and Florida (either Jacksonville or Orlando.) I am worried though that I won't find much of a goth scene in either of these locations. In Michigan, I can got to Leland City Club in Detroit or Industrial night in Ann Arbor, but In TN / FL I have no idea where I can meet other people like me.

Does anyone who lives in either TN or FL know of any goth clubs, or if there's much of a goth scene at all? Thanks!!
