Anyone else get invited by a bot to a conservative goth sub?
This is just a general warning, not a political post!
Just saw an invite to r/gothconservative. Boy, did they reach out to the wrong person. I checked the username and it was just created yesterday so I’m thinking it’s a bot.
Either way, I looked at the sub and it looks like a haven for right wing ideology. Saw a post speaking against wokeness, etc. I’m not sure if this is normal for Reddit on U.S. federal election years or what, so I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
Again, not trying to make waves, just wanted to keep people informed.

Hello, Baby Bat here need assistance 🦇
So, I have been in the alt/gothic community for a while and I have just now got Reddit so hello.! Well now on to the assistance, I am a baby bat and don’t know all the ropes and I am worried if there a right a wrong way to goth. I am a short petite girl on here way to go to college in a couple of months. I dress goth for the most part but I listen to any and every type of music, and recently I was accused of being a ‘fake’. Which is astronomic to me but I just wanted to make sure there is a specific way I am supposed to do this than just being my happy self.?

As a goth dj I can’t wait until people stop requesting She Wants Revenge.
They are spooky Interpol for people with shit boundary issues in their relationships. I am guilty as charged for using Tear You Apart as a weapon for shortening smoke breaks in the past, but it has officially become the Enjoy the Silence of goth nights.
I actually respect crowds more when I see it fall flat on them now. I give out a lil unheard sigh that gets buried under the music when I see them on request sheets. One of the members running a sketchy club known for burying allegations doesn't help either!
The more of their music I listened to, the lyrics sound like someone with controlling dominance behavioral issues reliving their prior toxic relationships and waving the red flags in your face. I get that it's catchy, but of all bands out there, is this really the one that deserves the pedestal given? Thanks for listening to me rant while the caffeine hits my blood stream.

Unifficial Seething Sunday
What got your gears grinding this week?
For myself, it was the recent chaos at work and lies being said about me and the team here at r/goth (not all that was said was a lie, but a lot sure was. We are strict, not nazis or bigots. And we dont ban you just for mentioning you enjoy different music haha. Silly.)

My goth inspired art
Recently learned a bit about goth music and the subculture, didn’t realize all this time I have been listening to goth music 🤣. I wanted to share my art pieces inspired by artists like ULTRA SUNN, Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, the Cure, Christian Death. I would love some recommendations for more artists if you’d like to share your favorites. Art is a medium for me to channel my pain, stress, and unprocessed emotions.

guy taking pictures of me at goth club?
Hey all! Not anywhere close to my first time at a goth club but the most recent time I caught a guy (regular clothes, film looking camera) taking picture of me while I was dancing. He tried to hide his camera when I went up and asked him if he was. I cussed him out and told him it was weird to do that without asking permission. I’ve only frequented all of two goth clubs since I’ve been in this scene and wanted to ask if this is more common than I know? He wasn’t hired by the club but said he had done this before and had seen me before. Was I acting unreasonable? Thanks y’all!
