Am i the only one who is irrationally mad about this banner?
There's several things wrong with this, and from the horrible face merging to the unnecessary tacky 'sketch' filter over them, im not even sure which part burns my eyes most. It does no justice to them whatsoever and my question is WHY THIS? Who was in charge of, not JUST putting this together, but putting this as THE BANNER on spotify?

Tell Me About Your Goth Club!
The other day I started wondering about where there are still goth clubs, how old they are, how often they're open, etc. Do you have a goth club in your town or know about a goth club somewhere? Tell me about it!

Mom arguing with me about goth bands
After insisting she see it, I showed my mom my Playlist. The first song I played was Bats by scary bitches and then Spellbound by Siouxsie….She told me I had goth music all wrong, and that kids these days are rebranding the whole thing. She was certainly alternative and in the punk scene back in her high-school and early adult days, so I told her to play me some bands or songs she considered to be goth and she followed that by playing Marilyn Manson and Nine inch nails. I'm still fairly new to goth music so you tell me what you think about this.. Thanks for reading!

Specific songs about being in love with someone you can’t have?
Or anything similar or interpretable as that really. Just something to feel miserable to! I don’t think it’s easy to find songs about kind of specific situations so I’d hope anyone here could perhaps help me out. I don’t have other wishes for subgenre or anything else. Just has to be about title. Thank you to anyone that can help out here.

Why are people so concerned about whether or not they’re allowed to be considered goth?
I follow several music/subculture reddits and almost none of them have people asking if they truly fit the title or not, absolutely none have near as many people asking this as I constantly see here in r/goth.
As far as I've always been concerned, the only opinion that should matter is your own when it comes to self image and applying labels is futile, you're allowed to enjoy something without being boxed in by the eyes of others. That's kind of a major point of punk/goth/metal's foundation as far as I understand it.
I'm not trying to disparage, but I am genuinely curious why this seems so consistant here. Any speculation as to why this particular subreddit seems so desperate for the approval of others and some silly sense of permission to consider themselves a part of the culture?

How do you feel about “gothabilly” [discussion]
Hi all. I've been around the goth scene for awhile, and find the subculture to be beautiful and interesting. I consider myself a part of the community 🙂
I ran across a subgenre of goth called gothabilly, which I have fallen in love with. It's a mix of hillbilly and goth. It's such an odd but unique combination and as someone who has been born and raised in the south, it definitely calls to me lol.
So what are your opinions on it?

what’s a goth band you absolutely love, but no one seems to know about?
for me, it's swedish post-punk duo "dial m for murder!". they released 1 awesome album in 2009, but seems to have fallen into obscurity, unfortunately.

Curious- how do you all feel about a drummer vs synthesized drums live?
As the title says, curious to hear how other goths feel about bands using a drummer vs drum machine/pre recorded/synth drums live
