what are your favourite lyrics in goth songs? It can be overall or just a few lines <3

Something similar to Twin Tribes, but not mostly based on romantic love

Hello! I'm just now really getting into goth music and culture. I find a lot of bands lack the etheral and spooky sound that I think (?) is goth. But those same songs have lyrics that make me, a total expert /j, go "That seems goth". I'm not looking to call those songs goth, it just made me curious. Is goth music more honed in on the sound? Or are lyrics equally important? Can goth music be one or the other?

Only just started to lean into goth music with Joy Division and The Cure cause I wanted to get to know the inspirations and fundaments first, but I’m really enjoying it so far, and absolutely love the lyrics on Unknown Pleasures which I know isn’t really Goth but thought it was still worth mentioning.

Most the music I listen to are Folk music like Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Ani DiFranco and Jewel, all artists known as amazing songwriters, Cohen and Drake especially with some of their very dark lyrics. They all tap into really specific feelings, ideas and experiences in very powerful ways, and I want to see if I can find that in this genre. Any suggestions?

Searched everywhere and can’t find lyrics for nearly the whole of the Tragedia Nosferata album so decided to start trying to transcribe it. Started with Taste of Night and fairly confident we got everything correct but wondering if anyone else has already done this? hi! english isn't my first language so sorry for any mistakes! I love this etereal wave band called stare, they only have one album (haunted) and i'm totally obssesed with it! I've been searching non stop for the albums lyrics, but sadly i only have Bell, book & candle 's lyrics. I think they are in the physical album but I can' t get it since I'm not from the us, does anyone know the lyrics/have the album and could please send me pics of them? thanks!

I'm quite in the mood for something with poetic lyrics; probably a softer sound? Any recommendations?
