I keep seeing She Past Away on these overrated list and it makes no sense to me

Well it kinda makes sense. Has She Past Away been around so long that people forget how much they’ve contributed and inspired? They’ve Toured extensively through out the world inspiring a lot of people and bands. They didn’t have the help of Tik Tok like other bands and even Spotify. They may seem tame now with so many bands popping up but they introduced a lot of people into the genre and related subgenres. I’d throw in Lebanon in this conversation too of people forgetting how important these bands were/are especially touring different continents . And it also kinda feels like most people in this sub are 20 and just discarding bands like gum for the new flavor of the time so that might be the actual reason

Trent from Daria with Bauhaus and The Sisters of Mercy posters in his bedroom! Been posted before, but had to re-post as I haven’t seen this show since it first came out, when I didn’t know who these bands were then! So seeing this now is so cool for me! :)

I’m considering seeing the Sisters of Mercy Live. Is it worth it?

I've heard many, MANY people say that they aren't good as a live act. My individual ticket (because I'm the only irl goth I know) is somewhere between $ 200-250 USD after taxes and fees. I have NO problems dropping that kind of money for a band that makes the experience worth it. So I have to ask…. would you guys go?

Any bands that are not worth seeing live?

Have you seen any goth bands this year or last year that just sounded so different or bad that they weren't worth seeing? Or ones that didn't put much effort into the performance?
I saw Pink Turns Blue a few months ago and they sounded like a generic indie rock band, and I don't just mean the new stuff. Different song arrangements, zero energy, nothing sounded goth/punk anymore. I got so bored that I left the show early. The musicians seemed bored as well.

Got a cassette with a cover of The Doors song Hello I Love You by The Cure. Figured other goths might be interested in seeing this!

The cassette is a compilation album from 1990 celebrating Elektra Records' 40th anniversary. This specific Cure cover can also be found on their album Join the Dots: B-Sides and Rarities, 1978-2001 (The Fiction Years) Please let me know if I should use a different flair. Didn't know what fit best

My pictures from seeing TSOM last night in Boston.

Had a pretty good time. Wasn't the best show ever, but had lots of interaction with both Ben and Andrew. (I made eye contact with Andrew before the show without his sunglasses, very scary but exhilarating!) Andrews voice lived up to what I've read online, but I was pretty happy to be in his presence. Overall had a really good night!
