I did a deathrock album based on my mental instability

I moved alone from Argentina to Italy when I was 18, got dropped by my girlfriend, started hating my job, being careless about everything and enjoying being alone for weeks. Since I was 14 (now I’m 22) I write my own songs and record them on the computer. I’ve learned a few tricks along the way, and this is my final product.

Luckily after a while, my best friend decided to join my project on the bass and we found a local drummer to complete the band we named “Eucaristia”. This project is finally making me see a light at the end of the tunnel. For me it would mean a lot if you give it a listen and let me know what you think.

I have a little YouTube channel based around music, travel, club life, dark tourism and subculture 🦇

One of my favorite ways to express my creativity within the subculture is by making these MVs using my favorite songs at the time and putting them to footage of me exploring the darker corners of the world. These places are often bat caves in different cities to delve into local scenes, concerts, and record stores, old cemeteries, alternative fashion boutiques and markets, macabre attractions, and places filled with dark history. Some are concert footage or conversations around my vinyl collection. Hopefully, you all will enjoy some of my shenanigans in this creepy little world, here are some of my latest adventure:

Gothic Salem/Boston

Gothic LA

Gothic Nashville

Gothic Mexico City

Cemetery Tourism

Live Music

Some Vinyl talk

I could post this on r/lastfm but since it’s pretty much only goth music i felt like this sub may fit better

Bands that are lyrically based

I've liked Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and Christian Death. Bands that are lyrically heavy and provoke thoughts. I'd prefer bands from the 80s or 90s.

i don’t understand the argument that “goth music is just what goths enjoy” as a counter for saying goth is a music based subculture

like… no? gothic rock has existed a long time, and is pretty clearly definied with a relatively destinct sound. i could see some arguments being made for lumping in some adjacent genres, but saying any music goths like is goth music is a dumb argument since not only, like i said, does goth have a pretty clear musical definition, but also goths can like non goth music. i like hyperpop, that doesn't suddenly make 100 gecs a goth band.

plus, if you get rid of a definition for what goth music is other than stuff that goths like, then you also end up getting rid of a definition for goth

sorry for posting a lot of discussion posts, i'm a bit high and by extension wired/chatty lol. i didn't see anything in rules about repeat posts other than posting music, but i can take down some discussion posts if need be

There’s no such thing as goth types except music based maybe (Deathrocker, Batcaver, etc.). It’s only good maybe for people to find clothes in online thrift stores. I can’t really think of many or even one icon that fits into these boxes.

Recs based on this song from The Sims lol?

I grew up playing the Sims, and this particular game, from the early '00s, had musicians compose original music for the game, a lot of which is truly great. Despite being "Simlish" gibberish, this song remains one of my favorite songs of any genre. I'm only just getting into deathrock now as an adult and I am loving it, but I'm really wanting to hear something with similar production. The super flanged out guitar. The high pitched, unmuddied bass. Female singer is also a whole vibe. Similar music I've found and love: Isolation by Vision of the Void (this song ticks all the boxes tbh), Self titled by Sect (less heavy, maybe a lil more punk, checks most of the boxes)
