Teen Gothic

To be fair these are the only goth bands that I’ve listened to extensively, I’m sure if I knew of all that was out there my list would likely look very different.

I saw the 1988 movie, Night of the Demons when I was about 12. Angela danced to Stigmata Martyr in that now classic goth scene, and it was my first introduction to goth. But I'm having trouble thinking of many other scenes in films or shows that feature goth songs. What are your favorites, or any that you can think of?

What's that one song that comes up in the club and you just immediately storm the dancefloor?

For me it's Moth Slut, a band from Manchester. I'd love to find more smaller bands to support!

Musically, i feel im not too bad at writing stuff, especially basslines. However, when it comes to lyrics i can't re-read anything i've written without wanting to tear out my vital organs. Any tips?

What's that track that you would never think to hit skip on when it comes up? The one that you know you'll still enjoy listening to in 20 years' time?

I am tired of seeing half naked individuals when I just want to see stuff for the music, fashion or the culture in general. Sorry if this is the wrong sub but I'm at my wit's end with it

For me it's Metallica being called goth for simply changing their appearance to black eyeliner, black hair and black fingernails
