i am curious as to what inspired traditional goth makeup: particularly the look of siouxsie sioux who seems to be one of the most driving influences in the makeup. i suspect it may draw inspiration from many things – namely – ancient egyptian makeup, japanese theatre makeup and silent film stars – but i want a source to back that up. perhaps an original goth icon citing their influences?

Making a goth art thingy, don’t really know what to call it, but yeah a bunch of posters from the Texas scene and music I like. (Yes ik some isn’t goth 🤫)

I know that Robert Smith was a a member of Siouxe and the banshees and I know he left the band 4 days before a concert so Siouxe hated him for that. But what happened after that? Did they reconcile, do they still hate each other or did they leave that apart?
