Teen Gothic

Hey all. I’m looking for recommendations for songs specifically about “monsters”, which in the context in which I’m writing, is defined as a supernatural creature that exists between natural categories (i.e.,“interstitial”). Basically, vampires, werewolves, zombies, etc. Bonus points if there is a direct “story line” in the song.

I’m writing on the appeal of these kinds of monsters in context of horror films but I want to extend it to discuss it in music and my first thoughts came here. I will include other genres, but my heart lies here with the goths.

I’m going to New Orleans in May to see the cure, but i’ll be there for a week! I’m planning on going to the vampire cafe and boutique and the museum of death. Does anyone have any cool places to go take pictures or things to do?

What I mean by this question is. I noticed a lot of Goths and Punks I have known for a while have a love for things like Jazz and Blues music from let's say for example 20s-60s. Posters of Jazz Singers. Black and White Movies. Just retro and oldies stuff in general. I mean I like older things as well (Mainly from the 80s-2000s) But what do you all think? Why is this such a thing within these communities?

I've been to la dead, which I can't find any more info on. Also seen rozz Williams at Hollywood forever. I vaguely remember museum of death being closed. Club sinister is atrocious. Anyone have any other recommendations for the list Angeles area?

I (23) have goth friends but we all met through ask.fm in early 2010s, and we are from different cities, so we basically only see each other at festivals and on travels. I really want to meet people from my city (Wrocław, Poland). I've tried to organise a meetup and many people seemed interested, but almost all of them dropped out and long story short, the thing won't happen. I attended The Cure themed event tonight, and was actually pretty dissapointed, because the club was almost empty, so I went home early. I go to live shows too, but people who stay after the concert ends are all 30+ and in friend groups, younger people just go home. I talk to some folks online, but they're either from different cities or countries, or really shy and kinda scared to meet up for coffee or something like that. Any ideas? Sadly there are no goth shops or goth clubs here.
