Do you feel oversexualized as a goth?
It has become a prominent stereotype now that guys would be more interested in us than in girls dressed more ordinarily. I have personally experienced a level of fetishization multiple times, so I wonder if others have also experienced that. Even if you haven't, do you think this stereotype is true, and if so, why is that?

Goth history book
Oh hi. I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a coffee table book (or not. Doesn’t have to be a coffee table book but I like also using books as decor) that goes through the history of goth music?

Honest question
I’ve heard a lot lately about like, appropriating goth stuff and posers and stuff, so I have a question:
Is it ok to incorporate traditionally “goth” elements into my fashion if I don’t really claim to be goth and don’t listen to goth music that much? I primarily listen to emo/punk, art rock and metal with a bit of goth here and there, but I wear tons of clothes and makeup that make most people call me gothic/goth.
I’ve always wanted to just go for a darker, more “refined” emo style and never claim to be goth, but like, a few actual goths I know have been talking a lot about “aesthetic-ization” or whatever of goth and I’m kinda worried I’m doing that

When do I stop being a “baby bat”??
I've been goth for about a year and a half now, is there like a certain point in time when you stop being one, or a certain age? I've just been wondering because I'm kinda new to the goth community, and I only have like two other goth friends, and they don't know either 😭
edit- I should add, I'm not well aware of what exactly a "baby bat" is so… 💀
