Ok this might be a long shot; but the band started with an M… (maybe) and the song was something like She’s Lost Control, or some other classic.

So I myself am a huge metalhead but I have recently also been taking an interest in gothic music but I don’t really know what bands to listen to so I decided to come here for recommendations and I’m not one of the ones that thinks deftones is goth. I listen to the cure, joy division and the bauhaus I kinda wanna find some inspired by metal but either way goth music is goth music so give me your best bands

I’m still looking for names that will fit me the only names i can think of are, Gwen,iris,Lilith and jade I do like Lilith as the name but I’m still thinking about what name fits me so I thought i would ask the goth community

So Friday is senior prank day at my high school, and my idea is to hang up goth memes around my chemistry teacher’s classroom.

He’s my absolute favorite teacher and we share the same music taste. His favorite band in particular is Joy Division.

For context, I live on a tiny island, and it’s damn near impossible to find someone even remotely interested in a less conventional subculture. Finding someone who’s into good music on this island is an unbelievable rarity… and it’s my chemistry teacher, of all people. So because of this I think he’d appreciate a “prank” like this.

Of course, because he’s a chemistry teacher, I wanted the memes to be chemistry related. But I can’t find any online so I need help thinking of some!! U don’t need to know a lot about chemistry or anything, it can be stuff like puns abt the periodic table in relation to a goth band (especially Joy division)

My daughter is nine years old and recently told me she is tired of dressing like a little girl.

She has always gravitated towards goth stuff and asked for it. I want to take her shopping for stuff so she can define her own style but I don't know where to start. I'm not involved with this culture at all and am pretty ignorant.

I know there is more to being g goth than just how you dress. But I was hoping someone could point me on the right direction so my daughter can express herself better.

I'm in Albuquerque, NM. Are there stores you guys shop at where she can browse?

I “dress” goth for work why the fuck not, right? Well, I need help learning how to UNtease my hair without (what feels like) losing half of my hair! I have super super long hair (down to my butt) so it takes a LOT of teasing to do for my hair, but brushing it out and washing it hurts so much and my hands end up sore. Is there a safe way to do this? Is my hair just too long?

I know how stupid this post is but here it goes. I've always been into the alternative music scene but have been getting into goth music and events for just the past two years. The thing is, I'm used to moshing cause of the type of shows I have always gone to, but I'm totally lost at the goth club and very socially awkward. Bottom line is, how can I learn to dance to this type of music? Or do people even care if you look ridiculous doing it? I feel like I can usually go with the flow but I can't help the fact that I'm a horrible dancer…
