can a metal head go to a goth club

i’ve been a metal head since the early 2010’s and have also enjoyed my fair share of goth music and culture, mostly being due to my mom being goth in the 70’s and 80’s and my dad being a metal head to this day i’ve always kind of been more towards these subcultures due to my parents and was wondering if that would make it chill for me to show up to a goth club.

Been going down a pipeline. It started with doom metal and went to gothic rock

Been going down a pipeline for this year pretty much. Started with doom metal and slowly I have been going more for that gothic vibe slowly but surely. Been listening to blauhaus and siouxie and the banshees and some cold wave as well. Keep going down further and further down the rabbit hole because of how much I love a band from the 90s that has a gothic sound to them. Which has led me into some gothic rock and cold wave wildly enough. Any any other bands and artists that you recommend that in that same vein and vibe of music. I do like some experimental stuff as well so hit me up with some obscure music as well. .

More of a Black Metal fan but was curious as to this Subreddit’s recommendations for Goth Music.

I myself am rather fond of Bands such as Burzum, Emperor, Mayhem, Mutiilation, and many more. I am very diverse in taste though haven't delved deep into the Gothic genres. I was merely curious as to some takes on the Genre's best artists, and if possible some recommended groups that may be somewhat similar to the the style I have mentioned above. Thank you in advance. – C.G

What are some actual goth bands that have a doom-ey sound like HIM’s Love Metal or That Band That Shall Not Be Named On This Sub?

Yes I know they aren’t actual/proper/true goth and more like goth metal but whatever. Looking for either more specifically like that or “actual” goth with similar sound. Specifically the super dark and heavy bass and the super deep almost droning male lead vocals. And the low key auto tune shit TO- does with the vocals in some songs

I’m not really a goth or at least I don’t think of myself as one but I will say this stuff is my jam once November swings around. It’s so fitting for when all the green turns to brown and it gets dark earlier. And smoking a cigarette to this music in the depths of winter on a full moon? The world lit up by the moonlight off snow as the world is like frozen in glass? Chills

Real goth bands or albums that properly fuse metal genres or influences

Since this is lesser known, outside of some classic goth songs and albums with more stick out hard rock and metal influences, what would you consider to be lesser known legitimate goth bands that fuse both goth and metal properly and consistently enough to still be real goth.

Of course no gothic metal, dark alternative or mall metal or darkly inclined black metal, hybrid industrial, metal/rock that is vaguely influenced by goth or anything that isn't goth.

Goth & Metal community

I’m both metal and goth, I’ve been listening those genres for years and the way I dress depends on the mood and what I have to do. But my question is: metalheads who don’t listen to gothic music can dress gothic? I know a few people that are just metalheads, they say they don’t listen to goth-rock, post-punk etc.. but they still dress with corsets, the typical Siouxsie makeup or victorian-inspired skirts. I’m not sure if this can be called mallgoth, ‘cause lately this subculture has gained its own meaning and aesthetic, don’t know it that much tho. So, what y’all think? I know this probably is a common topic but never explored it by myself..
