Need advice as a mod for a goth sub in my country
By a twist of fate, I've ended up the sole mod of r/indiangoth. I have limited mod permissions and the subs creator's accounts have been disabled so I'm gonna have to appeal to reddit for full control of the sub. While I wait, i figured I'd ask around for advice, so I would really appreciate any help/advice with the following:
1) How can I (and future mods) ensure the space is a safe, inclusive, and fun place for goth people in India?
2) How can subreddits be used to foster the goth sub culture and music?
3) When people post their outfits, a lot are just all-black fast fashion stuff and not connected to anything goth – but there are also people who have very limited resources and "beginners" who are exploring themselves. How should I differentiate between them and what should be done about the former?
4) what in god's name should I do about the constant barrage of goth girl sexualization that the sub has become a lightning rod for?
Again, thank you ever so much in advance for your time and advice.

Does anybody have any recs for bands similar to Wisborg?/r; gothic rock
I recently started to listen to gothic rock and darkwave stuff, and I randomly stumbled onto this German band Wisborg and they really scratch that goth rock itch for me.
Lwk I’ve been listening to their album from the cradle to the coffin nonstop for a few days, the song blood is life is just stuck in my head. I’d recommend checking it out, for me it’s a masterpiece, idk why I’m so obsessed with it but its really good and generally their albums are very epic.
And I feel like I listened to most of the songs from them and I wanna explore gothic rock more and does anybody have any ideas for bands to check out similar to Wisborg?

Octavian Winters – Nebula
Really cool ethereal track by Octavian Winters from SF who is touring with Pink Turns Blue in April. Also going to be playing at WGT.

Where is the goth/alternative scene in Atlanta these days?
I went to the Oddities and Curiosities Expo in Atlanta today and there are so many of us! There has to be places and things to do that I’m just not hearing about.
I know the Masquerade exists, but their Goth Industrial Nights feel more like… industrial than goth and vibrates my bones out of my ears.
Little Five points is still there and the Vortex is great(though sometimes overrun by tourists it feels like), but it’s really just two clothing stores, a place to eat, and a record shop. And not to name names, but one of those clothing stores shrunk their plus-sized section down to one rack.
We moved here from a different state two years ago, and this is all me and my husband have found, so if anyone knows where a goth girl can fit in, let me know 🙏🏻

The Official Seething Sunday Thread
There'll be bats for dinner and bats for tea
Complaints from him, seething from me
A big fat rant for Sunday roast
For breakfast we'll all angst the most
And when the typing becomes a chore
We'd just grind those gears and spit them raw
Or open a window facing south
And let screams fly straight from our mouths

How would we feel about a goth cafe? One that would also host goth club nights?
Me and my husband have been working out this plan for a couple of years now. Its going to be a visually gothic vampire themed establishment with a huge focus on goth music/sub culture. We live a bit further out from a more well known scene…Its bigger and has at least a few other alternative establishments. Area we currently are in has a more fledgling scene and only a couple of small businesses that are alternative. I am trying to figure out what would be the best course of action. I'd love to help build the local scene where we are. The problem is it's more expensive here for rent, but packing up our lives and changing day jobs would be probably just as expensive. The other area is also pretty established and I am worried we would be taking up space from another venue as there are several that already have goth nights Wherever our bat wings land us we want to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone. I would love some perspectives on if we should stay and try to maybe get some help with funding or make a big move and possibly take out a larger loan. Anyway if this kind of post is not allowed or if I maybe used the wrong flaire please let me know. Thank you🦇
