my mother doesn’t like me because I wear goth clothes.

Everytime that I put a goth t-shirt or sweater my mom makes comments about how I'm weird/should stop wearing that "garbage". What should I do?

There’s no such thing as goth types except music based maybe (Deathrocker, Batcaver, etc.). It’s only good maybe for people to find clothes in online thrift stores. I can’t really think of many or even one icon that fits into these boxes.

Has anybody else ever struggled with buying too many clothes when you feel insecure?

I struggle with pretty bad self esteem and social anxiety issues, and I dress pretty punk/grunge/goth/alt because that's what makes me feel more confident. But whenever I see other people who also have the same style and look super cool, I feel horrible and insecure about myself and I feel like I don't look good enough and will never look good enough. I see so many badass clothes online and in person and I feel so tempted to keep buying more. Each time I think "If I just buy this, I'll finally look cool and feel good about myself and people will finally be interested in me." Obviously that doesn't happen, and no matter what I wear, I still feel inferior and ugly. Has anybody else ever dealt with this?

Is it wrong to love goth clothes but not really be into it musically

I absolutely love wearing goth clothes and want to wear them everyday but just a bit nervous but I don't really listen to much goth music. Does that mean i shouldn't wear the clothes?
